Job Overview

The Justice and Safety Institute is seeking qualified Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice Trainers to instruct in our programs. Courses focus on leadership and management models, styles, and approaches and are conducted on site, online, or asynchronously.

Subjects

Budgeting, Report Writing, Grant Writing, First Line Supervision, Field Training Officer, Police Executive Development, Advanced Executive Development, Media, Leadership and Command, Police Conduct, Performance Appraisal, Risk Management, and more.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction in the above subjects to client agency staff, develop curriculum and assessment materials, and provide ongoing support for participants.

Requirements

• Travel for in‑person instruction.
• Minimum 3 years command experience in law enforcement.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in law enforcement.
• Experience supervising a correctional facility.
• Valid driver’s license and successful motor‑vehicle records check.

Employment Requirements

Background checks in accordance with University policies. Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check is required.
