Physicist or Engineer for HELIAC

For the department Linac (LIN) we are looking for a Physicist or Engineer to participate in development of the superconducting linear accelerator HELIAC (HElmholtz LInear ACcelerator). Currently at GSI the first cryogenic module of HELIAC is in test operation, further two cryogenic modules are in manufacturing phase.

• Procurement and Supervision of manufacturing of components and cryostat for further cryogenic modules
• Cryogenic testing of RF cavities, including the development of automated control for the subatmospheric helium compressor
• Participation in tests with first cryogenic module
