Physics Expert - Technical Author | Upto $83/hr Part-time

Position Details

• Type: Contract
• Compensation: $75–$83/hour
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author and review technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on physics problems.
• Produce original problem sets grounded in experimental setups, field/wave diagrams, and phase-space plots.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Annotate tasks to improve AI model outputs and training data quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and enhance model performance.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to provide feedback and improve task quality.

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, MS in Physics with 3+ years research or teaching experience, or BS in Physics with 5+ years tutoring, lab work, or applied physics practice.
• Working fluency in at least two of: classical mechanics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermodynamics/statistical mechanics, optics.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting experimental setups, field/wave diagrams, and phase-space plots.
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
