About the role

As a Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer, you will build and maintain standardized container images and CI/CD pipelines that power our cloud-native platform. You will improve build performance, security, and reproducibility while setting best practices for container design, dependency management, and supply‑chain security across teams.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and maintain standardized base container images that service teams can extend
• Own and improve CI/CD pipelines to make them reliable, fast, and observable
• Establish best practices for Docker image layering and optimization
• Establish best practices for dependency management
• Establish best practices for build caching and reproducibility
• Partner with security teams to integrate vulnerability scanning into CI/CD
• Partner with security teams to reduce blast radius and remediation time for CVEs
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction in builds and deployments
• Improve developer experience by creating clear documentation and golden paths
• Act as a multiplier for engineering teams by enabling them to ship safely and confidently
• Influence architecture and tooling decisions across the platform

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Platform Engineering
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS (IAM, ECR, EC2, networking fundamentals)
• Strong hands‑on experience with Docker and container image design
• Deep experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience standardizing platforms across multiple teams or services
• Solid understanding of supply chain security
• Solid understanding of vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Snyk, Grype, Clair)
• Solid understanding of SBOMs and dependency management
• Ability to balance technical depth with organizational influence
• Strong communication skills and comfort working across teams

Nice to Have

• Experience building internal developer platforms
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with policy‑as‑code (OPA, Conftest)
• Experience in regulated or security‑conscious environments
• Prior experience acting as a "force multiplier" for large engineering orgs
