Platform Engineer – Network Security

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain globally distributed firewall solutions to ensure seamless functionality and resolve issues promptly.
• Take charge of implementing infrastructure changes, managing lifecycle updates, and safeguarding firewall security and performance.
• Play a key role in integrating new systems, securing internet access via proxy services, and monitoring compliance.
• Dive into security investigations, address incidents, research emerging threats, and apply effective remediation strategies.
• Contribute to the planning, development, and deployment of new security tools while ensuring compliance with IT security regulations and keeping documentation up to date.

Requirements

• Experienced with Fortinet and Check Point, holding relevant certifications that demonstrate expertise in firewall and security solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud security and a strong grasp of networking protocols such as TCP, UDP, and the IP stack.
• Skilled in 2nd/3rd level support, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Proficient in network and cloud security, with additional familiarity with BigIP F5 and Zscaler considered a plus.
• Certified in CISSP or a similar security qualification, with hands‑on experience in regulated environments and compliance with industry standards.
