You take ownership of the new global non‑profit learning, knowledge‑sharing, community platform of the independent charitable foundation of a DAX‑listed corporation.

Create meaningful impact for millions of people worldwide: approximately €400 million dedicated to making the world a better place.

You will contribute to and shape initiatives focused on fundamental human needs, climate protection and digital inclusion, e.g. access to water, energy, healthcare, education and media, development of climate solutions and ensbling local cultures, with a particular focus on Africa and Latin America.

Important: A 2‑year fixed‑term contract is standard for all new roles within the foundation. The position itself is a long‑term, strategically important staff function reporting directly to the executive board, and a permanent appointment is clearly intended.

• Salary up to €90,000 gross p.a.
• 40‑hour work week with overtime compensation, 30 days annual leave

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will lead the design and build of a new digital and interactive platform ecosystem, replacing the current fragmented landscape of multiple legacy platforms.

The objective is to create a centralized, sustainable platform for all content, learning resources, knowledge assets, community engagement, and AI‑powered services, ensuring accessibility for users under even the most challenging conditions.

ROLE SCOPE: End2End Platform Ownership

• Evaluate technical feasibility, prioritize business requirements, and define work packages
• Lead the overall migration program across architecture, roadmap planning, and stakeholder management
• Act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders
• Guide and oversee the external software development agency, including solution reviews and acceptance processes
• Own the platform backlog and ensure quality across platform and AI capabilities
• Drive topics such as values and ethics, accessibility (WCAG), internationalization (i18n), GDPR compliance, EU AI Act compliance, governance, security, migration strategy, and redirect concepts
• Ensure operational readiness covering staging, deployment, backup, monitoring, and go‑live activities

PLATFORM TECHNOLOGY LANDSCAPE

• Drupal-based CMS and LMS environment with a Headless / Decoupled / API‑first architecture
• Evaluation and migration of existing learning solutions (e.g. Moodle), including SSO and IAM integration
• Establishment of centralized analytics capabilities and Digital Asset Management (DAM)
• Introduction and expansion of AI‑powered capabilities across learning, content management, and personalization

YOUR PROFILE

• Several years of experience leading digital platforms, web, or transformation initiatives
• Proven ability to structure, facilitate, and prioritize complex decision‑making and stakeholder alignment processes
• Experience governing and steering digital platform ecosystems, ideally within content management (CMS) and/or learning management (LMS) environments such as Drupal, Strapi, Moodle, or comparable API‑first and Headless architectures
• Experience managing external vendors, software partners, and agencies
• Strong track record in building and evolving platform ecosystems, particularly at the intersection of content, distribution, integrations, and international requirements
• Excellent understanding of current AI trends, technologies, and practical business applications
• Strong project and program management capabilities, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, and risk management
