Portfolio Adviser (Frankfurt)

In this role you will help drive growth for Wellington’s wholesale business with financial intermediaries in Germany and Austria from Frankfurt. You will work closely with the Head of Wholesale to implement the regional sales strategy and deepen relationships with distributors and clients. You’ll deliver client-focused coverage, highlight key funds and strategies, and contribute to brand awareness and market presence. The position offers regional travel, collaboration with Marketing and PR, and impact through education and strategic partnerships. This is a chance to shape how Wellington’s product suite resonates with wholesale channels in a major European market.

• Execute the wholesale sales strategy with intermediaries in Germany and Austria in collaboration with the Head of Wholesale
• Provide dedicated client coverage to drive growth across funds/strategies
• Develop and nurture relationships with key distribution partners and influencers
• Expand existing client relationships and identify new opportunities and buy list positions
• Contribute to industry relationships within the wholesale channel
• Collaborate with Marketing/PR to align local marketing and sales efforts and grow brand awareness
• Participate in team sales meetings, strategy planning, and regional events/roadshows
• Travel within the region to support distribution efforts, client events, and education

• 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, product specialist, or private banking
• Proven track record of developing client relationships
• Strong understanding of competitors, products, market trends, and market infrastructure
• Deep knowledge of financial markets with consultative, content-led client approach
• Action-oriented, accountable, driven, self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork
• High integrity, client-centric focus
• Undergraduate degree; IMC/CFA or progress towards one preferred
