The UFZ Department Biodiversity and People is part of the German Center for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv) Halle‑Jena‑Leipzig. The center is located in Leipzig and is operated as a consortium of the University of Leipzig together with the Martin Luther University Halle‑Wittenberg, the Friedrich Schiller University Jena and the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research – UFZ. It also receives support from the Max Planck Society, the Leibniz Association and the Free State of Saxony.
