The Professorship

W3 Professorship in Business Administration, specifically in Human Resource and Organization, is to be filled at the earliest possible date.

This professorship offers you the opportunity to actively shape key future-oriented topics in human resource management, leadership, and organizational development within a dynamic environment.

Research and Teaching Scope

In the field of Human Resource Management and Organization the incumbent will actively contribute to both research and teaching, focusing on at least one of the following areas:

• Organizational Behavior
• Leadership
• Human Resource Management (Recruiting, performance, compensation, development)
• HR Analytics

Teaching Responsibilities

The position includes teaching in both German and English in the faculty’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, particularly in core areas of business administration as well as in the specialization Human Resource Management and Organization, including advanced modules.

Additional Responsibilities

Further responsibilities include:

• Supervising and supporting early-career researchers
• Knowledge transfer to business, public administration, and society
• Acquisition of third‑party funding
• Active participation in academic self‑governance
• Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration within the faculty and across the university

Your Profile

We seek a professional with:

• Internationally visible research in the field of human resource management and organization, demonstrated by publications in leading international journals
• Relevant teaching experience in large course formats and with innovative teaching methodsExperience acquiring third-party funding
• Willingness to actively collaborate within the faculty and engage in interdisciplinary cooperation across the university
• Excellent command of both German and English
• Commitment to good scientific practice and leadership, and willingness to undergo training if required
• Interdisciplinary collaboration and network building skills

Appointment Requirements

The appointment requirements pursuant to § 35 of the Higher Education Act of Saxony-Anhalt (HSG LSA) must be fulfilled.
