The Chair Group of Production and Resource Economics at the TUM School of Life Sciences Weihenstephan and the TUM School of Management offers a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Production and Resource Economics. The appointment will be 1.5 years with the possibility of extension. Salary is in accordance with the German State Regulated Public Salary Scale (TV-L E13 100%).

The successful candidate is expected to actively lead and contribute to the Chair Group’s tasks in national and international projects in empirical production and natural resource economics. Projects include large international Horizon Europe-financed collaborative projects (e.g., AGRO-WELL, Landprint, Stewardsoil, Aquawise) or nationally funded projects. The candidate will be involved in teaching activities, contribute to curricula development, and lead or contribute to competitive project funding bids. The candidate will develop an independent research agenda in the fields of:
Applicants should hold an excellent Ph.D. degree in economics (preferably environmental, natural resource, agricultural economics, innovation economics), applied statistics, or related disciplines. A clear interest in natural resources, technological solutions, applied econometrics, and exceptional analytical skills are required. The successful candidate is expected to publish in international peer-reviewed journals and attract competitive funding. Ability to work effectively in a young and dynamic research team with interdisciplinary collaborations is crucial. Examples of projects (EU, DFG, BMBF) are available on the homepage. Regions for current research collaborations include (South) Asia, Africa and South America. An interest in teaching is an essential advantage. Excellent spoken and written English are required; German language skills are an asset.
