Conduct and lead cutting-edge research in computer vision for autonomous driving, aiming for high-impact publications in top-tier conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV) and journals
Drive the group’s strategic growth by actively writing competitive research proposals to secure third-party funding
Provide scientific mentorship and project management guidance to PhD candidates, Master’s, and Bachelor’s students
Manage advanced research infrastructure, including the maintenance and setup of our autonomous sensor vehicles and the computer vision laboratory
Deliver high-quality teaching (4 SWS) in the field of computer vision or intelligent mobility and support the professor in academic administration
Outstanding Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field, with a deep specialization in computer vision for autonomous driving
Profound technical expertise in Python and PyTorch and hands-on experience with ROS and sensor hardware (LiDAR, Cameras)
Academic excellence demonstrated by a strong publication record and experience in grant writing or acquiring third-party funding
Strong mentorship skills and enthusiasm for guiding early-career researchers and supervising student projects
Fluent English and German (written and spoken) to effectively teach, collaborate with local partners, and communicate within an international research environment
