Power Electronics & Controls Engineer

A confidential MedTech company is seeking a Senior Power Electronics & Controls Engineer to own the development of a high-power electronics and real-time control system for an advanced medical device.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power resonant/soft-switching converters .
• Develop HV drive electronics, power magnetics and matching networks.
• Develop embedded control firmware for regulation, frequency/phase tracking and protection.
• Commission and optimise hardware in the lab.
• Support HV safety, EMC, thermal and performance testing.
• Work closely with the Engineering Lead on system development.
• 8+ years' power electronics experience .
• Strong high-power resonant/soft-switching converter experience.
• High-voltage/high-current hardware experience.
• Experience with wide-bandgap semiconductors and power magnetics .
• Embedded control experience using C, DSP or FPGA .
• Strong hands-on lab and measurement skills.
• Able to work on-site in Berlin .
• Induction heating, RF power, medical imaging, plasma/fusion or accelerator experience.
• High-Q resonant systems and matching networks.
• Medical/regulated hardware experience.
