Freelance Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Robotics - 12 Months

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Freelance Power Electronics Engineer to support the development of advanced robotic systems in Munich. The company has been invested in to the sum of 400 million EUROS and is a key player in the field. Their latest product requires freelancers to bolster the drive towards the release date.

You'll be responsible for designing efficient, high-performance power electronics that drive next-generation robotic platforms, working alongside experts in embedded systems, motion control and mechatronics.

Responsibilities

• Design motor drive electronics and power conversion systems
• Develop DC/DC converters and battery management interfaces
• Design analogue and mixed-signal circuits
• Support hardware architecture and PCB design reviews
• Validate hardware through laboratory testing and system integration
• Optimise efficiency, thermal performance and reliability
• Collaborate with firmware engineers during bring-up and integration
• Support EMC compliance and production readiness

Required Skills

• Strong commercial experience in power electronics
• Experience with BLDC motor drives, servo systems or robotics
• Knowledge of battery-powered systems
• SiC, GaN or modern MOSFET technologies
• LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink or PLECS
• Fluent German
