As a PR & Brand Communications Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the global brand and communications efforts of Design Hotels™. Working closely with our PR, Social Media, and Communications teams, you will help align and execute initiatives that bring our brand story to life across multiple platforms, markets, and audiences. Your role is fundamentally one of coordination and support — spanning media relations, internal and member communications, project management, and social media planning — to ensure our brand is consistently represented, visible, and engaging worldwide.
Content, Campaign & Project Management
- Oversee workflows in Asana, ensuring projects are properly briefed, tracked, and delivered on time
- Coordinate with Creative teams (copywriters, designers) to ensure timely asset delivery
- Create tasks, monitor updates, and track cross‑functional progress
Communications & Campaign Coordination
- Coordinate external communications campaigns (newsletters, brand updates, business updates)
- Manage communications for member events, brand activations, and industry events (briefs, invitations, guest lists, follow‑ups)
- Support internal communications initiatives, including leadership and company updates
- Coordinate partner assets and communication deliverables across activations
- Monitor and support shared inboxes (members, events)
PR Strategy, Planning & Campaign Support
- Develop and support implementation of global PR strategies, ensuring alignment with brand goals
- Monitor progress against plans, ensure adherence, and support performance evaluation
- Provide launch campaign support across planning, execution, and reporting
- Assist with pitching to media in key global markets
- Support PR activities such as drafting and distributing press releases, maintaining media lists, and coordinating media outreach
- Monitor, collect, and analyze quarterly PR performance results, translating data into insights and reports for presentation in quarterly team meetings
Media Relations & Influencer Management
- Handle incoming media visit requests from journalists
- Liaise with press, journalists, and external PR agencies to ensure consistent brand representation
- Manage and maintain the PR influencer network and Influencer Campaign service
- Manage the general press inbox and ensure timely responses
- Maintain and update the global media contact database
- Support Social Media and PR in scouting Brand Ambassadors, assist in coordinating collaboration trips, and prepare reports for each resulting partnership
- Assist in crisis communications and reputation management, ensuring timely and accurate messaging
Content, Platforms & Visibility
- Oversee Cision and manage PR team media coverage files
- Manage and maintain the Design Hotels™ Newsroom
- Manage the PR Team’s presence on the Design Hotels™ Intranet
- Manage the press release calendar, including the development and distribution of press releases
- Collaborate with PR on leveraging media coverage for social amplification
Social Media & Paid Marketing
- Coordinate organic content planning across social channels
- Support paid marketing initiatives, including asset coordination, and budgets
- Maintain content calendars, publishing schedules, and campaign timelines
Reporting, Analytics & Insights
- Track, analyze, and report on social media and newsletter performance
- Conduct market and competitive research (growth, engagement, benchmarks)
- Support drafting of campaign recaps, monthly reports, and stakeholder presentations
- Prepare performance reports and insight‑driven recommendations
- Track PR coverage and compile media reports to analyze visibility and sentiment
Reporting, Administration & Internal Coordination
- Manage the preparation of client reports for launch campaigns and PR services
- Support internal organization, communication, and administration within the PR team
- Take call minutes and support general administrative tasks
- Follow Design Hotels™ reporting structures and procedures to ensure results and opportunities are communicated clearly
Operational & Cross-Team Support
- Provide general coordination support to achieve departmental goals
- Ensure smooth collaboration between social, communications, creative, PR, and all other relevant teams across the company
- Facilitate alignment between communications, PR, and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging globally
Experience & Mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, with experience in hospitality management or related fields preferred
- Great communication skills in English, additional languages are beneficial
- Diligent, result‑driven work ethic
- Able to work both independently and in a team with a proactive and positive attitude
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Avid learner with an affinity for new technologies and a keen eye for identifying new opportunities
- Previous experience with project management (Asana, Monday) is a plus
