Pre-Sales Delivery Consultant

In this role you guide global payroll customers from sales to implementation, ensuring clarity and delivery readiness. You will own payroll discovery for Mid-Market and Enterprise clients, documenting scope and local requirements to empower onboarding and project teams. You’ll support complex opportunities with payroll and delivery expertise, setting realistic go-live plans. You join cross-functional efforts to reduce risk, align expectations, and enable successful deployments. • Lead detailed payroll discovery sessions with prospective and newly signed customers
• Document country scope, payroll populations, local processes, pay frequencies, benefits, statutory obligations, and integrations
• Identify operational, compliance, and product risks early in the customer journey
• Validate feasibility of scope, timelines, and rollout approaches
• Prepare go-live dates and rollout plans
• Create delivery-ready handover packs for OBMs and PMs
• Ensure knowledge and scope continuity between Sales and Implementation
• Document payroll assumptions, risks, dependencies, and constraints
• Prevent scope creep and late-stage surprises
• Support Sales on complex global payroll opportunities with delivery expertise
• Join select sales calls to validate scope and manage client expectations
• Align customer expectations with delivery reality
• Run Country Spotlight and enablement sessions with Payroll Implementation teams
• Share country-specific complexity, risks, and best practices
• Feed discovery insights into Product, Implementation tooling, Sales enablement, and delivery methodology

• 5+ years of experience in global payroll, payroll implementation, or payroll operations
• Strong understanding of multi-country payroll complexity and compliance
• Experience leading or supporting payroll discovery, onboarding, or implementation projects
• Ability to run structured, high-impact client discovery sessions
• Excellent documentation and handover discipline
• Confidence to raise risks and challenge assumptions constructively
