Principal Analog Engineer - Intelligent Power Devices

In this Technical Leader role, you will steer the development of next‑generation Intelligent Power Devices (IPDs) and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance, reliable power solutions. You’ll shape system architectures, drive verification and risk mitigation, and ensure safety and quality standards in automotive contexts. You will mentor engineers and build a high‑performing IPD capability aligned with Renesas’ mission to enable safer, more efficient technology. • Provide technical leadership for IPD development from concept to production readiness
• Define architectures balancing performance, reliability, power efficiency, area and cost
• Drive design verification, modeling, simulation, and test methodologies
• Identify and mitigate silicon- and system-level risks for design quality and schedule
• Ensure compliance with AEC-Q100 and ISO 26262 functional safety requirements
• Manage project schedules, costs, resources, and deliverables while offering hands-on debugging support
• Collaborate with design, verification, test, quality, and applications teams; mentor engineers to strengthen IPD capabilities

• Minimum 10 years of IPD development experience
• Proven track record leading development teams and multiple engineers
• Extensive PoMOS design knowledge and IPD application experience
• Strong understanding of PoMOS driving methods in IPD contexts
• Extensive IPD testing, validation, and reliability assessment experience
• Solid thermal design knowledge and device thermal management
• Nice-to-have EMC and ESD design/testing knowledge
