As a key pillar of Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations, SAP Cloud Application Services (CAS) offers our customers a seamless and unified SAP application support offering. We are looking for a Principal Basis Expert (m/f/d) to actively shape the development and management of our path toward a unified and competitive business unit in the regulated industry, with a focus on cloud application management services. In this position, you will report to the Head of Global Cloud Application Services and act as an expert for the technical operation of cloud systems and applications within the global CAS unit for sovereign cloud solutions. You will ensure the smooth delivery of cloud application services for private and public cloud environments.
Your key responsibilities include enabling and mentoring internal and external delivery teams (including quality assurance and continuous learning), leading the maintenance of complex SAP landscapes through technical expertise and support, troubleshooting and handling customer inquiries, and serving as a trusted liaison between CAS and the SAP solution and product areas. You will also provide practical support for customer inquiries and incidents.
Ideally, you possess relevant technical expertise gained through successful customer implementation projects and/or extensive experience in operational support. You are proactive, work independently in a dynamic environment, and are willing to lead or contribute to working groups and internal initiatives. Furthermore, you will support team members in establishing a sustainable, customer-centric market presence for SAP Cloud Application Services. Key performance indicators include increasing CAS usage, meeting commercial targets, improving customer satisfaction and retention, and achieving revenue and margin goals.
This position requires flexibility regarding shift work or working outside of regular business hours to provide support for incidents, upgrades/patching, deployments, and other support activities as needed.
Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
