Principal Bass Clarinet

This opportunity is for a principal bass clarinet position with the Konzerthausorchester, following the German system. The audition will include specific repertoire for both clarinet and bass clarinet. Required pieces for the audition include Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A major, KV 622, and the second movement of Spohr's Second Concerto for bass clarinet. Additionally, candidates must prepare orchestral excerpts from Mendelssohn's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', Beethoven's Sixth Symphony, Schubert's 'Unfinished Symphony', and Weber's 'Der Freischütz'.
