Principal Engineer – AI-Enabled Embedded Software (Multi GenAI Orchestration)

Overview

In this role you will lead the transformation of embedded software engineering through AI-first digitalization. You will architect and deploy Multi-GenAI platforms tightly integrated with Atlassian tools to enable autonomous, scalable, and intelligent development pipelines. You drive AI-enabled SDLC improvements, including traceability and automated documentation, while aligning with safety, governance, and embedded constraints. This is a strategic, cross-functional leadership role shaping the future of AI in embedded engineering at NXP.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Define and lead architecture for Multi‑GenAI orchestration platforms using NXP-approved GenAI tools
  • Design orchestration across multiple LLMs, AI services, agent-based systems, and engineering toolchains (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Build modular orchestration layers for multi-agent collaboration, cross-model reasoning, and end-to-end workflow automation
  • Ensure enterprise-grade scalability, governance, and secure deployment
  • Architect AI-enabled embedded SDLC with deep Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket integration (AI-assisted backlog, traceability, automated documentation, AI-driven code workflows)
  • Enable traceable, closed-loop AI across requirements, development, validation
  • Design agentic AI systems for autonomous execution of engineering workflows using LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI
  • Implement self-learning pipelines from developer and toolchain feedback
  • Integrate AI into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ecosystems across Bitbucket pipelines, build/test systems, and release workflows
  • Bridge Atlassian tools and AI systems for AI-assisted DevSecOps
  • Drive AI-enabled transformation of embedded software development including complex device driver development and ECU lifecycle (ASPICE aligned)
  • Ensure AI integration respects MISRA, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434 in real-time, resource-constrained environments
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG
  • Experience with multi-gen AI orchestration and agent ecosystems
  • Hands-on with LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI
  • Enterprise AI governance and approved toolchains (NXP preferred)
  • Strong programming skills in Python (AI/orchestration) and C/C++ (embedded)
  • Proven experience with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code
  • Distributed systems and AI pipelines
  • Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
  • Embedded systems knowledge including RTOS, toolchains, ECU architectures and ASPICE
