Overview

As Principal Engineer in Huawei’s Automotive Engineering Lab, you will shape vehicle dynamics for both human-driven and autonomous driving features. You’ll develop and refine control strategies for lateral and longitudinal dynamics, driving innovations in x-by-wire architectures and EV contexts. You will collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver high-fidelity models and robust controls. This role offers impact in a global R&D environment with cross-cultural collaboration and cutting-edge automotive technology.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Develop and refine controllers for vehicle dynamics systems (lateral and longitudinal) including stability, steer-by-wire, brake and traction control
  • Implement advanced control techniques (MPC, PID, adaptive/robust control)
  • Advance vehicle dynamics control for autonomous driving, x-by-wire systems, and electric vehicles
  • Create high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models using MATLAB/Simulink or similar
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver planned results
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 6+ years of experience in developing control systems for vehicle dynamics or related automotive systems
  • Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, kinematics, and control theory
  • Proven experience designing and deploying control algorithms for chassis or autonomous driving systems
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++, dSPACE, and related modeling/simulation tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to deliver under pressure
  • Fluent English; German and/or Chinese is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel to China up to 25% of time
  • Master’s or higher degree in Automotive Engineering Control Systems or a related field
