Principal Expert Factory Physics & Fab Performance (f/m/div)

In this role you will act as the Factory Physics authority for the Dresden site, turning manufacturing data into actionable insights to improve throughput, cycle time, and bottleneck management. You will lead high-impact productivity programs and advise across Operations, Planning, Technology, Equipment Engineering, and Finance. You will establish local performance benchmarks and analytic approaches, while collaborating across Infineon Front-End sites to accelerate factory-level optimization. This position is central to the ramp-up of the Smart Power Fab and shaping Industrial Engineering in Dresden.

• Serve as the Factory Physics authority, developing models to translate manufacturing complexity into actionable throughput and cycle-time insights
• Lead productivity programs from potential identification to implementation with sustainable business results
• Provide expert guidance on complex Industrial Engineering challenges to stakeholders across multiple functions
• Define and enhance local performance benchmarks and analytical methods for data-driven decisions
• Strengthen the IE network through cross-site collaboration and best-practice exchange

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering (or related field); PhD is a plus
• 6–10 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Science or Operations Research with Factory Physics application
• Strong expertise in throughput, variability, bottleneck and cycle-time analysis
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R and BI tools
• Experience leading cross-functional programs with significant business impact
• Hands-on experience with fab analytics and simulation tools (nice to have: Smart OEE, AutoSched, D-Simcon, AnyLogic)
• Fluent German and English (B2 level)
