Principal Pulsed-Power Engineer – Nanosecond Pulse Generator Design

Leipzig, Germany (Relocation Support Available) | Onsite Working

We're supporting an innovative European climate-tech company developing next-generation plasma technology to accelerate industrial decarbonisation.

As the business scales from laboratory systems to industrial deployment, we're looking for a Principal Pulsed-Power Engineer to lead the design and development of high-voltage nanosecond pulse generators.

You'll be responsible for

• Designing and developing high-voltage pulsed-power systems from concept through to tested hardware.
• Selecting and developing pulse generator topologies.
• Designing high-speed switching, charging and energy storage circuits.
• Building, commissioning and optimising prototype hardware.
• Using measurement data to improve pulse performance, efficiency and reliability.
• Working closely with plasma physicists and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop next-generation industrial plasma systems.

We're looking for experience in areas such as

• Pulsed Power
• High Voltage Engineering
• Pulse Generator Design
• Marx Generators
• Pulse Forming Networks (PFN/PFL)
• High-Speed Switching
• Accelerator Technology
• Plasma Power Supplies
• Lightning or EMP Systems

Candidates from industrial R&D, research institutes or advanced technology environments are all encouraged to apply.
