Principal Systems Architect – Defence & Security

• Develop modern, distributed, containerized system architectures
• Design and assess virtualized and networked systems
• Evaluate suitable cloud and orchestration platforms for security-critical applications
• Monitor technological developments in Cloud Native, edge computing, and software-defined defence
• Collaborate with customers, industry partners, and public institutions
• Provide technology consulting in workshops and customer projects
• Derive new technology requirements in collaboration with internal teams and external partners

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Extensive experience with complex system architectures in the defence, security, or a comparable technology environment
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes
• Understanding of distributed, resilient, and software-defined systems
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders
• Excellent German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for business
