Principal Technical Leader for Automotive Systems Power

As Principal Engineer at Renesas, you act as a global technical authority for analog/mixed-signal IC design, guiding architecture and execution across complex programs. You will shape design strategies, drive cross-functional collaboration, and advance verification, validation, and production readiness. You lead end-to-end design, advocate for engineering excellence, and mentor teams to raise capabilities. • Provide global technical leadership across programs and drive complex design decisions
• Lead end-to-end design execution from requirements to silicon validation and production readiness
• Balance trade-offs to optimize performance, power, area, reliability, and manufacturability
• Ensure engineering excellence through reviews, best practices, and high-quality documentation
• Drive verification, test, and validation strategies aligned with simulation and silicon performance
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (design, verification, test, validation, quality, reliability, applications) worldwide
• Advance methodologies, automation, and AI adoption to improve efficiency and workflows
• Mentor engineers and influence strategy, improving engineering practices and roadmap direction

• 12–15+ years of analog and/or mixed-signal IC design experience with technical leadership
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related field); advanced qualifications preferred
• Strong lifecycle expertise: system architecture, design, verification, validation, DFT, test, production readiness
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills in multicultural, global teams
