Overview

In this role you help shape next‑gen automotive MCU systems by mapping vehicle E/E trends to Renesas MCU products. You will engage with vehicle OEMs and Tier‑1s, driving thought leadership and influencing architecture choices. You’ll collaborate across marketing, product management, and engineering to ensure solutions meet evolving automotive needs. This is a chance to impact vehicle electrification, centralized and zonal architectures, and software–hardware tradeoffs at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Understand vehicle E/E architecture evolution and its impact on MCU design
Analyze MCU software ecosystem and its effect on architecture
Evaluate software/hardware tradeoffs to optimize solutions
Drive thought leadership on disruptive concepts
Build and maintain technical relationships with OEMs and leading Tier Ones
Monitor market and technology trends to anticipate product changes
Collaborate with Marketing on market requirements
Work with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure system alignment

Zentrale Anforderungen

Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science; Masters preferred
Extensive knowledge of automotive applications across Electrification and Vehicle E/E architectures
Strong experience with microcontroller/microprocessor architectures and network interfaces (Ethernet, CAN)
Solid understanding of AutoSAR software needs and HW architecture alignment
Proven customer engagement experience; direct OEM/Tier1 experience preferred
Ability to operate at system level, partitioning solutions between hardware and software
Comfort with ambiguity when implementing new technologies
Strong written and verbal English communication and presentation skills
Willingness to travel worldwide
