Process Control & Data Engineer (f/m/d) - Hybrid

In this role you enable digitization of manufacturing by shaping how process and product data are captured, structured, and used to improve process control, efficiency, and product quality at a Pleinfeld site. You will own and improve data systems and apply SPC methods across cross-functional teams to drive measurable improvements. You contribute to the site’s digital roadmap and future AI-enabled engineering, while collaborating with engineering, production, IT, quality, and project teams. This is a growth phase role with impact on data visibility, traceability, and quality commitments.

• Define and structure process and product data for key manufacturing areas to enable data-driven decision-making
• Implement statistical process control methods to improve stability and drive continuous improvement
• Own and improve manufacturing data systems for reliable capture, availability, and usability
• Develop practical solutions to capture data from shop-floor operations
• Build and enhance KPI dashboards translating manufacturing data into clear insights
• Set up and maintain business processes with engineering, production, quality, and IT to turn data insights into improvements
• Strengthen data traceability to support root cause analysis and audits
• Translate customer quality and documentation requirements into data solutions
• Contribute to the site’s digital roadmap by identifying scalable opportunities
• Lead technical projects from concept through implementation with cross-functional teams

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
• Minimum of 5 years in a complex manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis, and process optimization
• Experience translating complex data into clear insights for cross-functional audiences
• Proven ability to analyze data and drive measurable improvements in performance, efficiency, or quality
• Self-directed and analytical with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes in a changing environment
• Strong communication skills for collaboration across engineering, production, quality, and IT
• Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%
