Process Engineer – Laser Manufacturing (m/f/d)

For our client, we are currently looking for a Process Engineer – Laser Manufacturing (m/f/d) to join the team at the earliest possible date.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and qualify manufacturing processes for CO₂ laser systems
• Analyze existing process steps and identify improvement opportunities regarding quality, throughput, cost, and process stability
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate experimental trials to optimize manufacturing and assembly processes
• Introduce, document, and validate new manufacturing processes and technologies
• Investigate quality deviations and perform failure and root cause analyses
• Prepare work instructions, process documentation, and technical reports
• Support the transfer of new developments into series production
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Production, Quality Assurance, external partners, and suppliers
• Professional experience in an industrial manufacturing or production environment

Your Profile

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Physics, Process Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
• Experience in laser technology, vacuum technology, coating technologies, and/or material and surface characterization is an advantage
• Professional experience in an industrial manufacturing or production environment
• Experience in the development, optimization, or validation of technical or manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), statistical data analysis, and process analysis
• Hands-on experience with laboratory, manufacturing, or analytical equipment
• Proficiency in MS Office and common data analysis tools
• Good command of English; German language skills are an advantage but not required
• Experience in laser technology, vacuum technology, coating technologies, and/or material and surface characterization is an advantage
• Experience with production processes, quality management, and the introduction of new technologies into manufacturing environments is desirable
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style, combined with technical curiosity and a hands-on mentality
