Procurement Manager – Real Estate / Construction (m/f/d)

Our client is a leading European real estate company with a substantial portfolio of commercial properties across Germany and Europe. The business manages and develops a diverse range of assets, including office buildings, serviced apartments, hotels and other commercial properties.

As the portfolio continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their procurement team with an experienced professional who can manage construction-related tenders and procurement processes across their real estate portfolio.

The Role

As Procurement Manager , you will be responsible for managing procurement and tender processes relating to construction, refurbishment and maintenance projects across a diverse commercial real estate portfolio.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are competitively tendered, commercially sound and delivered in line with the required standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing procurement and tender processes for construction and refurbishment projects
• Preparing and coordinating tender documentation, specifications and bills of quantities
• Identifying, evaluating and coordinating suitable contractors and specialist subcontractors
• Managing the tender process from initial requirements through to bid evaluation and contract award
• Conducting tender and commercial negotiations with contractors and suppliers
• Supporting contract negotiations and ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance throughout the process
• Sound knowledge of procurement law (especially VOB/A, VOB/B, BGB) as well as practical application experience.
• Building and maintaining relationships with general contractors, subcontractors and specialist suppliers
• Working closely with technical, construction, asset management and other internal teams
• Supporting the continuous improvement and digitalization of procurement processes

Your Background

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in procurement, tender management or commercial purchasing within the real estate or construction environment .

You may come from a background such as:

• Commercial property
• Building refurbishment or fit-out
• Technical procurement
• Property or asset management with a strong procurement focus
• General contractor / construction company environments

Experience working with commercial real estate - such as office buildings, hotels, serviced apartments or similar assets - would be particularly relevant.

A technical, construction, engineering, architecture or commercial qualification is beneficial, although relevant professional experience will also be considered.

Strong communication and negotiation skills are important, alongside a structured approach to managing multiple tenders and stakeholders.

C1 Level German and professional working English is required.
