Procurement Manager – Tech & IT

In this role you will create Helsing’s first end-to-end technology procurement strategy, spanning software, cloud, hardware, and related tooling. You will partner with IT, Engineering and Legal to bring spending under control while keeping engineering momentum. You’ll lead high-stakes negotiations and build transparent spend data, MSAs/SOWs, and TCO models in a fast-moving, greenfield environment. • Develop Helsing's inaugural procurement category strategy across software, cloud, hardware, engineering tooling, security tools and connectivity
• Map and organize spend data to reveal suppliers, terms, and renewal milestones
• Lead high-value negotiations (enterprise SaaS, hyperscalers, custom software) in the high six figures
• Analyze complex pricing (consumption, tiering, committed-use discounts, egress, true-ups) to optimize TCO
• Collaborate with IT, Engineering and Legal to draft and align MSAs and SOWs
• Establish procurement processes in a greenfield environment to enable speed and structure

• 5+ years in strategic procurement or sourcing with focus on IT/software/cloud
• Proven ability to independently close complex negotiations in high six figures
• Deep understanding of tech pricing models and ability to build TCO models
• Advanced Excel modeling skills and ability to build spend views from raw data
• Strong contractual understanding for MSAs/SOWs in collaboration with IT and Legal
• Experience in fast-paced or greenfield environments with minimal pre-existing procurement processes
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
• Willingness to obtain governmental security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung)
