Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to manage the acquisition of goods and services for our Base Operations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with a strong understanding of supply chain management, purchasing procedures, and contract administration. You will be responsible for sourcing vendors, evaluating bids, and ensuring all purchases are cost-effective and compliant with company and government regulations. Your role is vital to maintaining the necessary resources for our base to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers. Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key partners.
• Purchasing & Negotiation: Source goods and services, solicit bids, and negotiate contracts to secure the best value and quality.
• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
• Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions. Track and monitor all orders to ensure timely delivery and receipt.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all purchases, contracts, and vendor information.

Desired Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role.
• Technical Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Leadership: The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with various departments.
• Certification: Professional certifications such as a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are highly desirable.

Special Qualifications / Requirements

• Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.
