Product Design Engineer – fluent German (m/f/d)

As a Product Development Engineer on Molex’s High Voltage Connector team, you shape innovative, high‑performance products from prototype to production. You will apply solid engineering principles to solve complex problems and collaborate with cross‑functional partners across global teams. You drive design robustness, manufacturability, and validation, delivering results on schedule with mentorship from senior engineers. • Support concept development ensuring designs are manufacturable and cost-effective
• Conduct DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis and other analytical studies with guidance
• Create and maintain product models and drawings using GD&T with datum-aware dimensioning
• Assist in documenting project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans
• Develop test plans (DVP&R) and analyze test results using statistical methods; perform DOE and hypothesis testing
• Lead root cause analysis using structured methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) with senior guidance
• Select materials for plastic injection molded and metal stamped components

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Extensive experience in product design and its workflows
• Experience with analytical studies (FEA, tolerance stacks, DFMEA) as part of product development
• Solid knowledge of validation plans and analyzing test results to ensure performance
• Structured problem-solving abilities to determine root causes for technical issues
• Ability to travel approximately 20% (international)
