The fitness industry isn't built to give them that. It makes its money when members fail, when they sign up in January full of resolve and never come back. aGYM is built the other way around: no contracts, no sign-up fees, cancel any time. We only win when people keep going. That single inversion changes everything we build.

Because once keeping people going is the whole game, you have to understand why people actually quit and the answer was never willpower. It's a 200,000-year-old brain wired to save energy, colliding with a busy life. That's why we've built a "phygital" product where physical and digital are inseparable. Every interaction exists to help people keep going.

Since opening our first gym in Berlin, thousands of members have already joined us. It's thousands today, and soon to be millions.

We're a young, founder-led company. From the outside we might look like a gym with a nicer app. That's the surface. What we're really building is much bigger than fitness.

We're looking for people who love building products that change behaviour, who care deeply about craft, and who can't stop asking why people do what they do.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Design is where aGYM's thesis reaches the member.

Every screen and every flow is two things at once. There's a craft layer that's thoughtful, intuitive and beautifully executed. And there's a behavioural layer: every interaction should help someone take the next step and keep going.

As our Product Designer, you'll own the design process from discovery to delivery. You'll design the member app at the heart of the experience, as well as the internal tools that help our teams deliver a better member experience every day.

You'll work directly with our founders and engineering team to turn loosely defined problems into products people genuinely enjoy using.

At aGYM, you won't be measured in pixels but in behaviour.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Own the design process end-to-end, from discovery to shipped product.
• Design and continuously improve the member mobile app, from wireframes and user flows to polished interfaces and prototypes.
• Turn behavioural hypotheses into product experiences that help people build lasting habits.
• Use research, data and user behaviour to identify where members struggle, then translate those insights into better product decisions.
• Sweat the details, from empty states to edge cases, because small interactions shape great experiences.
• Design internal tools that make everyday workflows simpler, faster and more intuitive.
• Work closely with engineering to ensure the final product feels as good as it looks.
• Present and defend design decisions with clarity while staying open to better ideas.
• Help shape and evolve our design system as the product grows.

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

• 3+ years designing and shipping digital products across mobile and web.
• A portfolio that shows product thinking, not just polished screens. We want to understand the problem, your process, your decisions and the outcome.
• Strong craft across mobile (iOS & Android) and web.
• A deep curiosity about human behaviour and what makes products people genuinely return to.
• The ability to translate product strategy into intuitive user experiences.
• High ownership. You enjoy taking ambiguous problems and driving them through to shipped solutions.
• A good understanding of technical constraints and close collaboration with engineers.
• A love of solving difficult product problems.
