Product Manager (f/m/d) - SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Localization

What you’ll do

SAP Globalization seeks a Product Manager to lead localization for SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), focusing on European import/export declarations. The role requires expertise in European customs and hands‑on SAP GTS experience to drive compliance product excellence. As Product Manager, you’ll translate regulatory requirements into innovative features for a global customer base and work autonomously within SAP’s Globalization team.

The Role

Develop and execute GTS strategy for European import/export declarations; maintain a responsive roadmap. Innovate compliance automation for EU and country codes, focusing mainly on Europe with global awareness.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the main contact between engineering, compliance, brokers, and customers. Build relationships with customs authorities and support sales and implementation.

Requirements & Execution

Gather and analyze stakeholder input; translate customs rules into specifications and user stories. Ensure accurate localization and validate compliance of product.

Customer Advocacy & Support

Represent customers in development, resolve escalated issues, and gather feedback.

What you bring

Experience

• 10+ years in product management, trade compliance, and logistics.
• Extensive SAP GTS implementation.
• Managed complex portfolios and cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA would be a plus.

Skills

• Expert in European customs, SAP GTS architecture, and data integration.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Languages

Fluent English; skilled in specifications and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other SAP trade compliance solutions.
• Customs/trade compliance background.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies, especially AI and regulatory change management.
• Prior interaction with customs authorities.
