Production Engineer (m/f/d)

In this Production Engineer role, you will support the introduction and validation of new PCBs and electronic assemblies in an NPI environment. You will plan qualification activities from testing to production release and work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. Your hands-on hardware work and strong problem-solving will help drive production readiness and continuous improvement in testing and qualification processes. The role offers international collaboration and travel, contributing to scalable manufacturing in a global context.

• Support the introduction and validation of new PCBs and electronic assemblies in an NPI environment
• Plan, organize, and monitor qualification activities from initial testing through production release
• Track tasks, issues, and project progress using JIRA
• Perform hands-on work with electronic hardware including assembly, modification, inspection, and troubleshooting
• Run and assess hardware tests using laboratory and test equipment
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues
• Communicate with suppliers and manufacturing partners regarding testing, readiness, and open issues
• Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to improving qualification/testing processes
• Work in an international environment with travel up to 10%

• Degree or technical qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• Hands-on experience with PCBs, electronic assemblies, and complex hardware
• Experience in testing, validation, qualification, or NPI of electronic products
• Practical experience with JIRA for managing tasks and issues
• Good knowledge of PCB technology and electronic manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Independent, structured, and reliable work approach
• Confident communication with internal teams and external suppliers
• Fluent English; German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
