Position
For the winter term of 2026/27 we are seeking a professor (m/f/d) for the degree program Business Administration at IU International University. The position is limited to 2 years, will be based on the campus in Berlin , and is available as full‑time or part‑time, starting on October 1st, 2026 .
Responsibilities
- You represent the field of Business Administration in teaching and research on‑site at our IU campus and become part of an extensive network in the field of higher education.
- You develop and lead face‑to‑face lectures on campus and are responsible for the individual supervision of our students during their exams and while they prepare their thesis.
- You teach practice‑oriented fundamental knowledge in Business Administration.
- You contribute to the creative development of teaching formats within IU’s didactic concept and collaborate closely with colleagues to further develop these formats.
Profile
Delivering practice‑oriented content and passing on knowledge to the next generation is the core approach of IU International University. Therefore, we seek an expert in Business Administration who brings professional experience and who also possesses strong academic expertise and didactic skills to contribute to teaching at IU.
- You successfully completed a university degree in Business Administration or a related field with outstanding academic performance and hold a relevant doctoral degree (Ph.D.).
- You have at least five years of practical work experience, including three years outside university, and may have already gained initial experience in academic teaching.
- You demonstrate your expertise in the relevant subject areas through publications or projects.
- You work team‑oriented and reliably and are committed to in‑person teaching while also being proficient in conducting virtual lectures.
- You reside permanently in Germany.
- You have English language skills at C1 level of the CEFR.
The employment requirements are governed by the Higher Education Law Thüringen.
