Project Buyer / Product Sourcing Manager (m/f/d)

As a Product Sourcing Manager at Advantest, you play a central role at the interface between Procurement, R&D, Product Engineering, and Project Management. You are responsible for both the strategic and operational sourcing throughout the entire product development process - from the initial concept to market introduction.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) process within Procurement, from the first prototypes to series production, including active ramp-up management during the market launch phase
• Support the further development and ensure implementation of our supply chain strategies in NPI projects
• Ensuring cost efficiency and on-time availability throughout the product development and introduction process and support our technical colleagues on the commercial aspects of quality of our products
• Conducting proactive risk analysis and mitigation within the supply chain
• Coordinating and leading interdisciplinary project teams
• Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers across all organizational levels

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration with a strong technical affinity
• Several years of professional experience in strategic procurement, project purchasing, or supply chain management
• Solid knowledge of electronics manufacturing; experience with V93000 testers or RF technology is highly welcome
• Proficient in using ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis Maestro)
• Experience in cost management, cost structure analysis, and supplier development
• Strong project management skills and experience in managing complex projects
• Excellent English skills (spoken and written); good German skills are beneficial
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and intercultural competence
• Willingness to travel approx. 25%
