Project Development Manager

In this role you will lead multiple utility-scale BESS developments in Germany, driving the full development phase with emphasis on grid connection, permitting, and cable routing. You will coordinate internal teams and external advisors to advance projects toward delivery, collaborating with authorities and stakeholders to secure approvals. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position in a growing European energy-transition company, offering meaningful impact on project scale and timing.

• Lead the development of multiple utility-scale BESS projects through the development phase
• Manage grid connection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement workstreams
• Coordinate internal teams and external advisors to progress projects
• Oversee grid connection processes with TSOs; support early-stage engineering including layout and cable routing
• Ensure all permits and approvals are secured; work with local authorities and consultants
• Coordinate with origination, procurement, and finance; support smooth handover to next phase of projects

• 5-10+ years in project development or management within renewable energy, infrastructure, or large-scale energy
• Strong experience with permitting, grid connections, and infrastructure development processes
• Proven track record delivering complex projects through development stages
• Experience managing stakeholders including authorities, consultants, and local communities
• Fluent German and English; willingness to travel within Germany
