We are working with a leading M&E design and build contractor delivering complex, large-scale projects across the UK and Europe, with a strong presence in the mission-critical and data centre sectors.
Due to continued growth in Germany, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a major data centre project in Frankfurt.
The role will provide technical and engineering support across the project lifecycle, working closely with project management, design, commercial and site teams to ensure the successful coordination and delivery of M&E packages.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing project designs, specifications and technical requirements
- Managing technical submittals through the review and approval process
- Raising and managing RFIs and maintaining accurate RFI schedules
- Coordinating with Project Managers, Design Teams and Quantity Surveyors on project progress
- Ensuring site teams are working from the latest approved drawings and specifications
- Managing redline drawings and coordinating as-built information with the design team
- Tracking long-lead plant and equipment to support the construction programme
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and compliance
- Attending site and project coordination meetings
- Supporting the commercial team with variations, change management and procurement
- Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, technical standards and EHS requirements
- Supporting commissioning, handover and the preparation of O&M documentation
- Maintaining accurate project and document control records
What we're looking for
- Experience working as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within M&E construction
- Experience delivering large-scale, technically complex projects, ideally within data centres or mission-critical environments
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and construction delivery
- Experience with technical submittals, RFIs, drawings and project documentation
- Ability to coordinate effectively between design, commercial and site delivery teams
- Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of MS Project and Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD experience would be advantageous
