Project Manager - Commercial

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in driving strategic transformation initiatives across the UI Group, focusing on operational efficiency, revenue enhancement, cost optimization, and business integration. You will be responsible for leading complex projects, managing senior stakeholders, and supporting integration activities. A key priority of the role will be to lead a Group-wide program to standardize customer contracts under a unified global framework, ensuring consistency in commercial terms, governance standards, and risk management practices.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead the UI Group transformation initiative to design and implement a standardized commercial contract framework across the organization.
• Establish and manage the overall project governance structure, including scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, risks, issues, KPIs, and business case tracking.
• Drive the transition from legacy agreements to the new contractual framework, balancing strategic objectives with the careful management of longstanding client relationships and commercial sensitivities.
• Oversee the redesign, harmonization, and implementation of processes supporting the new contract model, ensuring accurate service allocation and charging mechanisms.
• Partner closely with DACH and International stakeholders to develop and deliver a structured change program, ensuring successful implementation within agreed timelines.
• Identify project risks and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies to ensure delivery success.
• Conduct detailed, fact-based analyses to support decision-making and challenge assumptions with a high level of rigor and granularity.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, decision papers, and status updates for senior management and governance bodies.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration across project workstreams, functional teams, senior stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Lead reporting across relevant UI management forums, ensuring alignment of outcomes and providing clear, concise updates to Shareholders and the Investment Board.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement throughout the transformation journey, proactively managing expectations and addressing concerns.
• Coordinate and facilitate project governance meetings, workshops, and steering committees to ensure effective decision-making and execution.

Integration activities:

• Support business integration initiatives related to past and future mergers and acquisitions.
• Drive the standardization of processes, controls, and governance frameworks across the organization to support operational consistency and scalability.
• Ensure integration activities are aligned with broader transformation objectives and organizational standards.

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading projects, preferably within a multinational environment.
• At least 5 years of operational management experience with responsibility for a cost center, sales function, business unit, or P&L.
• Proven expertise in project management, with a strong track record of successfully executing and implementing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• Demonstrated experience leading transformational projects and managing the legal frameworks of commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform detailed, data-driven analysis and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Highly detail-oriented, with a hands-on approach and willingness to work at a granular level when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation, reporting, and advanced PowerPoint and Excel capabilities.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Commerce, or a related field.
