Project Manager Engineering, Germany (m/f/d)

You lead engineering capital investment projects from concept to commissioning, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver compliant, efficient and sustainable solutions. You work closely with operations, maintenance and production to support growth and operational excellence. Your focus is on solving complex technical challenges, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards, and driving continuous improvement. This role offers meaningful impact through cross-site, international projects and investment decisions.

• Lead and execute technical capital investment and improvement projects from concept through commissioning
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor plant modifications, process optimizations and technical expansions
• Develop and implement sustainable technical solutions to improve efficiency, quality and plant availability
• Manage and coordinate external service providers, suppliers and contractors
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, EHS and other functions
• Conduct technical analyses and implement sustainable corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and internal guidelines
• Prepare, review and approve technical documentation, specifications and project records
• Participate in cross-site and international projects
• Provide technical support for investment decisions and continuous improvement, and mentor junior engineers

• Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or comparable field
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering, production or project environment in an industrial company
• Strong project management knowledge and ability to plan and execute technical projects
• Deep technical expertise in the relevant field and understanding of related disciplines
• Experience working with external service providers and engineering partners
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently address complex technical challenges
• Structured, analytical and results-oriented work style
• High personal accountability and ability to manage projects independently
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Very good German and English proficiency
