Project Manager (m/f/d) Architecture, Planning & Defense

As a Project Manager at AECOM, you will lead complex architecture, planning, and multidisciplinary infrastructure initiatives for national government and DoD clients. You’ll guide delivery from feasibility to delivery, coordinating dispersed teams in Germany and the wider region. Your role combines client leadership, governance, and strategic delivery to drive high-impact public-sector projects. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, risk management, and business development that supports growth.

• Client-side project management including stakeholder, schedule, and contract management
• Own the delivery of the project and ensure milestones are met
• Prepare and maintain schedules with dependencies and resources
• Identify and monitor project risks and opportunities
• Implement quality management processes for project activities and outputs
• Manage stakeholders with varying levels of influence and interests
• Establish and maintain project governance reviews
• Develop strong relationships with clients and cross-functional team members
• Identify and act on business development opportunities with existing and new clients (including cross-selling)
• Coordinate and sign off on management information produced by PM teams before issue

• Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline
• Engineering or Architectural background
• Excellent English skills (German is a plus)
• Experience with National Governments and DoD clients
• Experience in managing large architecture and planning projects
• Experience in managing large delivery teams from different geographies
