Your mission

As Project Officer (all genders) for an innovative and cross-departmental pilot programme, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth implementation and documentation of programme activities. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will provide support in a programme focusing on mediation support, policy influencing and organisational development.
Hours: 80-100%
Starting date: as soon as possible
Salary: According to TVöD Bund, pay grade E10
Location: Berlin
Department and reporting line: Executive Office, reporting to the Senior Project Managerleading the programme
Your main tasks:

Support the planning, coordination and delivery of programme activities, including meetings, events, workshops, and travel arrangements.
Ensure efficient programme administration by supporting colleagues with procurement, contracting, and financial processes in compliance with organisational policies.
Maintain effective programme documentation and knowledge management systems, ensuring accurate records, timely filing, and easy access to relevant information.
Support internal reporting and communication processes by preparing meeting minutes, updates, presentations, background briefings and other programme documents.
Support organisational learning and reflection on locally led peacebuilding and equitable partnerships by monitoring sector debates and best practises, capturing lessons learned, and facilitating knowledge sharing across teams.

Your responsibilities

Your knowledge, experience & skills

Bachelors degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, or a related field.
First relevant professional experience in project cycle management and administrative support.
Ideally internship or any work-related experience in peacebuilding, mediation, civil society, or international cooperation programmes in a conflict-affected context.
Experience working for, or in close partnership with, a locally led peacebuilding or civil society organisation in a Global South context is highly desirable.
Strong writing and synthesis skills.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent intercultural, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with additional software systems and data management or AI tools is an asset.
