Projectmanager Future Programs Exploration and Space Safety (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Support in the planning and execution of national and international space projects in the “Future Programs” area, specifically in the preparation of proposals for implementation projects
• Depending on the level of experience gained, you may also be responsible for independently managing the aforementioned projects/programs
• Planning of projects and proposals with regard to staffing, timelines, and budgets
• Depending on previous experience, you may also be responsible for managing projects with operational responsibility for ensuring compliance with quality, schedule, and budget requirements
• Primary point of contact for customers
• Providing technical leadership and coordinating interdisciplinary project and proposal teams (in areas such as engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, controlling, project office)

Your Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or engineering management—ideally in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or aerospace engineering
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of project management, ideally with relevant certifications (IPMA, PMI, or equivalent)
• Broad technical understanding of technical systems
• Ideally, several years of professional experience as a project manager or lead technical engineer in the field of spacecrafts
• Experience in leading and managing teams, as well as strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and a team‑oriented mindset
• Quick learner with a passion for exploring new subject areas and technologies
• Structured, analytical, and efficient work style, with a strong sense of responsibility
• Very good English skills; German skills are a plus
