Overview

As a Process Engineer, you support plant and department management to optimize production processes across safety, quality, environmental, and efficiency goals. You will engage in audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement while coordinating with maintenance and external contractors. The role combines technical planning with documentation and training to ensure compliant, reliable operations. You will contribute to safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible production at the Straubing site.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Support Department Manager and Plant Manager in production process guidelines and compliance
  • Maintain production figures, planning, and procurement of operating supplies
  • Conduct audits, site and operational inspections
  • Perform hazard assessments and risk analyses for activities and equipment
  • Create and maintain procedures and work instructions in PolicyTech with safety, quality, energy, and environmental considerations
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes
  • Plan and install new equipment and process components to optimise safety, quality, TPS, and efficiency
  • Coordinate instrumentation, control, and automation improvements with supervisor
  • Prepare maintenance input and coordinate shutdown planning
  • Organise maintenance and servicing with supervisor; oversee defects and external inspections
  • Supervise external contractors for projects; conduct training sessions
  • Deliver instructions and training as directed by supervisor
  • Authorize shutdowns in hazardous situations in coordination with supervisor
  • Monitor safety, quality, and environmental compliance; report risks and incidents
  • Promote safety, quality, and environmental awareness; ensure compliance by internal and external parties
  • Supervise construction and installation activities within responsibility area
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Completed engineering degree (Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering/Chemistry, Automation Engineering or comparable discipline)
  • Strong technical understanding including DIN and ISO standards, technical documentation, engineering drawings
  • German: C1 level; English: B2 level
  • Strong PC skills; proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Strong safety awareness and responsibility
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and coordination abilities
  • Independent, structured, and efficient work style
  • DIN/ISO standards knowledge
  • Technical documentation and engineering drawings
  • P&IDs and data sheets familiarity
