PTD Operational Excellence Partner

The Position

Operational Excellence Partner in PTD is a strategic performance enabler who connects Development, Clinical Manufacturing & Quality, Supply, Planning, and Distribution across the E2E flow. You bring clarity to complexity, make performance visible, and move the organization through strong leadership, data, and pragmatic execution. As an Operational Excellence Partner, you will play a pivotal role in driving measurable improvements and fostering transformation across functions and regions. Operating at a Global Grade SE7 level, you will serve as a principal leader and connector to scale impactful solutions and instill a strong Lean culture throughout the organization.

The Opportunity

• Drives measurable improvements in lead times, delivery reliability, and pipeline acceleration while enhancing transparency and alignment across complex, global value streams
• Enables faster, more reliable execution through structured prioritization, focus, and scaling impactful solutions across the organization
• Serves as a principal leader for LPS standards and Lean methodologies, ensuring their consistent application, continuous enhancement, and coaching others on advanced techniques
• Influences and guides leaders to practice and embody Lean leadership behaviors while acting as a connector across functions, regions, and leadership layers to align teams without formal authority
• Champions the continuous improvement process, drives end-to-end performance improvement, and enables value stream thinking and performance steering across the organization
• Actively contributes to strategic digital transformation initiatives, conducts comprehensive strategic gap analyses, and supports the scale-out of improvements integrated with digital tools
• Utilizes structured change management approaches to ensure adoption and sustainability, with a willingness to travel (~20–30% regional EU travel and 10% international travel)

Who You Are

• You possess a strong track record in Operational Excellence / Lean in complex environments alongside experience in strategic consulting and/or leading transformation initiatives
• You bring a solid background in business functions such as R&D, Product Development, Chemical Development, or Operations (Supply/Manufacturing)
• You have a proven ability to drive cross-functional performance improvements and experience with digital/AI-enabled initiatives and scaling solutions
• You demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and influencing skills within matrix organizations
• You maintain an analytical, structured, and execution-focused mindset
