Based in Düsseldorf, our German office is Xiaomi’s key European strategic hub. We grow local retail, brand marketing and full-category product businesses, including smartphones, smart home devices and mobility solutions. We are now recruiting a dedicated local PR Manager to oversee end-to-end brand PR and communications across Germany.

Role Overview

We are looking for a results-oriented PR Manager to develop and execute local PR strategies, manage media relations, and support product launches and brand campaigns across Germany. You will act as the main local contact for tech media, journalists and partners, safeguarding positive, consistent brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement local PR strategies aligned with global brand guidelines and regional business goals, covering smartphones, AIoT, home appliances and EV-related projects.
• Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with German tech, business and automotive media, key journalists and industry stakeholders.
• Create and edit press releases, media statements and interview materials in fluent German and English for daily external communication.
• Plan and coordinate press events, media roundtables and product launch PR activities fully in line with brand standards.
• Monitor media coverage and brand sentiment, track competitor PR activities, and deliver regular concise performance updates to leadership.
• Collaborate closely with global PR, local marketing, retail and social teams to ensure consistent brand messaging externally.
• Handle daily media inquiries, arrange spokesperson interviews and drive proactive brand storytelling activities.
• Support brand reputation monitoring and assist with structured crisis communication preparedness when required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years solid PR experience based in Germany, ideally within consumer electronics, tech or automotive sectors.
• Established existing connections with local German tech media, editors and relevant industry contacts.
• Native fluent German and proficient business English for cross-border internal alignment.
• Strong PR writing, storytelling and content polishing skills for professional external materials.
• Proven hands‑on experience coordinating press events and product launch PR workflows.
• Proactive mindset, strong multitasking skills and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
• Valid work permit and residency for Germany is mandatory for onboarding.
