Purchase Expert (mainly sea and air logistics)(human)

Take care of all relevant supply management data and make sure it is provided on time, accurate, complete, and clearly documented.

Work with supply data from manufacturers and process it according to the company’s high logistics and quality standards for the related orders.

Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers through regular and reliable communication.

Collaborate across teams and functions, share information within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) community, and involve others to find the best solutions.

Organize daily tasks efficiently and help ensure smooth and reliable processes.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training as a Wholesale and Foreign Trade Merchant (or a comparable qualification).
• Strong practical experience in logistics and supply chain support and sales order activities for at least 5 years.
• Experience in placing purchase orders and ensuring deliveries happen on time.
• Proactive in monitoring stock levels and delivery dates.
• Skilled in maintaining supplier relationships.
• Capable of connecting dots across teams to achieve best results.
• Ownership mindset and ability to handle topics end‑to‑end.
• Strong risk‑spotting and solution‑finding skills.
• Efficient logistics process management.
• Structured and calm handling of returns and challenges.
• Commitment to quality‑driven work and high standards.
• Independence with appropriate escalation.
• Business fluent in both English and German.
• Comfortable working in an intercultural environment with openness to Japanese business culture.
• Motivated, curious, and eager to continuously learn and grow professionally and personally.
