The Role – Quantity Surveyor

Based on a major project in Frankfurt, this role will see you take full commercial responsibility for M&E packages from procurement through to final account. You will work closely with senior project and commercial teams to ensure financial control, contract compliance and successful project delivery.

This is a high impact role on a flagship European project, offering exposure to large scale data centre construction and the opportunity to work within an experienced international team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of specialist M&E subcontract packages across the project
• Carry out monthly cost value reconciliations and provide accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and submit applications for payment including valuations and materials on site
• Identify and manage variations ensuring all changes are properly recorded and agreed
• Administer contracts in line with JCT and NEC conditions
• Monitor commercial performance including cost, cash flow and risk
• Manage subcontractor accounts from appointment through to final account
• Maintain risk and opportunity registers to protect project margin
• Engage with client representatives and consultants through regular commercial meetings

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
• 3 to 7 years experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within M&E or building services
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical packages on large construction projects
• Proven experience managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Willingness to work on rotation in Frankfurt
