Quarry Manager - Moama Sand

As Quarry Manager, you will lead the Moama Sand operation to deliver safe, efficient, and profitable production. You will manage a small team, operate and oversee processing and mobile plant activities, and drive continuous improvement. The role focuses on safety, customer service, and strong cost discipline, while developing relationships with customers, suppliers, regulators, and the community. You will contribute to growth by identifying sales leads and supporting the Territory Sales Manager, ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliance. • Lead and develop a small, high-performing team with a safety-focused culture
• Operate mobile plant and run the processing plant as required
• Manage quarry operations: production, processing, maintenance, logistics
• Deliver targets through planning, resource management, and continuous improvement
• Manage site financials: budgets, cost control, forecasting, P&L accountability
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
• Oversee quarry development, rehabilitation, environmental management, and asset maintenance
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and community
• Maintain customer focus and act as key contact for site customers
• Identify sales opportunities and provide quality leads to Territory Sales Manager
• Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining product quality and service
• Promote a Zero Harm culture through visible leadership and risk management

• Experience managing a quarry, mining, extractive industry, or similar heavy industrial operation
• Experience leading and developing small operational teams in a hands-on environment
• Willingness to work alongside the team and actively participate in plant operation
• Proven experience managing operational budgets, KPIs, and financial performance
• Knowledge of quarry operations, mobile plant, maintenance planning, and production processes
• Strong customer focus with ability to build relationships and support sales growth
• Commitment to workplace health and safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Well-developed problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making in fast-paced settings
• Relevant qualifications in Quarry Management, Mining Engineering, Extractive Industries, or related discipline (desirable)
