Overview

As R&D Team Leader in Darmstadt, you will guide a cross-functional team of hardware, firmware, software, and testers to deliver turnkey DAQ solutions. You’ll act as Scrum Master to support agile project execution within SAFe or similar, shaping execution with Product Management and architects. You will grow team capabilities, align staffing with project needs, and drive technical excellence in a fast-paced, global context. Lead a cross-functional team of hardware, software, firmware engineers and testers to deliver turnkey DAQ solutions
Foster collaboration across disciplines to ensure seamless component integration
Promote engineering process improvements, quality standards, and compliance
Serve as Scrum Master: facilitate agile ceremonies, remove impediments, coach on agile principles, ensure SAFe adherence
Maintain progress visibility with dashboards and burn-down charts
Mentor and develop team members through feedback, training, and career development plans
Identify skill gaps and implement upskilling strategies
Collaborate with Product Management to align deliverables with market needs
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
Engage with local stakeholders to create a safe, productive work environment
Work with global R&D leadership to ensure staffing with the right skill sets

Zentrale Anforderungen

Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Engineering or related field
Proven track record of leading technical teams (min 3 years)
Strong technical background in hardware or firmware/software with ability to address challenges
Knowledge of modern leadership practices (e.g., Situational Leadership)
Experience with agile methodologies (SAFe)
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
